partial History from a Veteran
Jim Westlake was a Sentry Dog Handler at George AFB, 831st APS circa 1960 to 1963.
The first two dog handlers were Skipper and Flanigan; Bill King was the fifth handler to George.
Our first Dog Kennel office was a tent - Squadron had a total of 18 dogs.
Original patch (similar design to above patch) was embroidered on blue Twill circa August 1960, designer unknown.
We received approval to wear the patch on our 1505's above the right pocket for a demonstration for the Freshman class of the Air Force Academy.
(I have: added to/deleted/changed/etc. some of Jim's messages)

1041st SPS(T) was based at Phu Cat AB, Vietnam

If anyone has an understanding of this operation - send me a concise partial-history and I will put it in this section.
